New to town? Come to dinner!
Event description
Moving to Alice Springs and Central Australia for work can be a big step—but connecting with the community is just as important, and not always easy. That’s why there’s a new way for people relocating here to come together, get the information they need, make friends, and feel supported along the way.
The Come to Dinner initiative is part of Mparntwe Alice Springs Community Foundation’s (MASCF) #GettingGoodStuffDone community projects, aimed at supporting the Foundation’s purpose to help build a strong community and shared future. #GGSD is for doers not talkers, where individuals lead community initiatives that matter to them, and make them happen.
Whether you’re in town for a few days, a year, or longer—whether you’ve come from elsewhere in Australia or overseas, are here for FIFO work, or on a short-term contract—everyone benefits from knowing how to connect, so you and your family can feel supported and enjoy becoming part of the community.
