Rory Lowe (UK)
Rory Lowe is a stand-up comedian, animator, and presenter. He has performed on stages and in police stations from the USA to Pakistan. Comedian Luke Kidgell has called Rory an “Internet sensation.”
Rory Lowe draws his material from his real life experiences, transforming his highs and ‘Lowes’ into comedy gold. He believes that the key to successful standup comedy lies in authenticity and connecting with the audience through relatable stories. For example, one of his popular bits revolves around a real encounter with a sniffer dog at a train station. Rory has filled numerous notebooks with material, meticulously refining his jokes and experimenting with different perspectives.
‘Beyond standup, Rory Lowe is passionate about animation. His love for cartoons, particularly shows like “Archer” with their sharp writing and witty humour, inspired him to explore this creative avenue. His initial foray into animation involved teaching himself the craft through online tutorials. During the first lockdown, Rory Lowe created his own cartoon series, “The Cigs,” the first episode of which garnered a million views on Facebook.
Rory Lowe is also known for his online voice-over series, “Aussie Peppa Pig” and “Aussie Disney,” which contributed to his growing fame. These projects highlight his comedic versatility and ability to connect with audiences across different platforms.
He recently supported comedian Bert Kreischer on the Australian and USA legs of his Body Shots World Tour.1 Australian band Tame Impala praised Rory, stating, “Rory Lowe is funnier than he is insane.”
