Event description

Comedy returns for fall in the renovated Elm Draught House Cinema, 35 Elm Street, Millbury MA on Saturday, September 27 with Rhode Island's King of Crowdwork, John Perrotta, and Boston favorites Jason Merrill, Joe Espinola and Matt Misci. It's a late show in a great, fun environment with a sharp, friendly comedy audience.

Showtime is 9:30 and tickets are $20 in advance.

Known for his rapid-fire delivery of one-liners and his ability to improv off any crowd, John Perrotta has been dubbed “the Italian Don Rickles.” He has been voted Rhode Island’s best comedian in the Providence Phoenix Reader's Poll, has performed at First Night Providence, and in 2012 was inducted into the Rhode Island Comedy Hall of Fame. In addition to headlining, he hosts his own weekly show at the Providence Comedy Connection, and headlines in Boston clubs for Nick’s Comedy Stop and the Dick Doherty comedy chain.

With an act that’s one part Saturday-morning cartoon character and one part pro-wrestler, Jason Merrill is a fast-rising Boston comedian with an animated style. The latest in a line of strong comedians from the great city of Lawrence, Massachusetts, he has impressed audiences with his streetwise style and good-natured exuberance. He has shared the stage with accomplished comedians such as Juston McKinney, Lenny Clarke, Christine Hurley, Joe Yannetty, and Steve Sweeney.

Joe “Espi” Espinola is an established name on the Boston scene, working regularly at Giggles and Kowloon Komedy, as well as fund-raisers and one-nighters around New England. He’s performed at theaters such as The Cabot in Beverly, the Black Box Theater in Peabody, and the Mass Arts Center at Great Woods. Sly and engaging, his good-hearted sarcasm and droll point-of-view has earned him fans from Boston to Bangor. He’s worked with top comedians including Steve Sweeney, Lenny Clarke, Patty Ross and Paul DAngelo.

Matt Misci is a North Shore barber and stand-up comedian from historic Revere. A regular host at Nick's Comedy Stop and a staple at Boston clubs, he brings everyday life situations to the stage with quick wit and energy that will keep audiences laughing from start to finish.
