Comedy on Elm Street: Mike McDonald, Artie Januario, Dan Donahue, Justin George

Comedy returns to the Elm Draught House Cinema, 35 Elm Street, Millbury, Mass. on Saturday, October 17 with Mike McDonald, Artie "The Pharmacist" Januario, Dan Donahue and Justin George.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $22 at the door. Door open approximately 9:10, and showtime is 9:45 p.m.

Mike McDonald has performed in 50 countries, from the exotic (Tahiti) to the frigid (Greenland), and has done 10 USO Tours entertaining American troops.  He's performed on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E and hosted two shows that won national ACE Awards for best local origination comedy show. He wrote columns for the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, and has performed at the Berklee Performance Center, the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, the Music Hall in Portsmouth, N.H., the Hartford Civic Center, and more.

Artie Januario (aka Artie J.) has spent 10 years living a double life as a pharmacist and one of Boston’s premier comedians. He has been selected to perform at Denis Leary’s prestigious annual Comics Come Home concert, the longest running comedy benefit show in the United States, which has raised more than $19 million for the Cam Neely Foundation, which aids cancer patients and their families during treatment. He’s traveled the country, performing all over New England as well as in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and is a favorite for fundraisers and corporate events. Among the national acts he’s worked with: Dom Irrera, Brian Regan, Jeff Dunham, and Lenny Clarke.

Man-mountain Dan Donahue works in theaters around New England as the opener for Juston McKinney, and he’s also shared the stage with Boston headliners such as Jimmy Dunn, Mike McDonald, Christine Hurley, Mike Donovan, Paul Nardizzi and Dave Rattigan. He has performed at the prestigious Hampton Beach Comedy Festival and appeared in the horror-comedy short Mars Hill Bait & Tackle.

Former Army medic and firefighter-turned-contractor Justin George had led a busy life before his middle-age career switch into stand-up comedy. He has embraced the challenge and emerged as a comedian on the rise, drawing on a life perspective that led one audience member to tell him, “You’re the oldest 8th grader I’ve ever met.” Among the headliners he’s appeared with: Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Tony V., and Christine Hurley.
