Comic Workshops for Kids with Mimi Leung: Drawing from Personal Narratives
Description
Everyone has a story to tell, however big or small. The workshops explore key elements of visual storytelling. Learn some tools and techniques to tell your story in a visual way. Use your own personal experiences to inform your narratives. Experiment with different techniques and begin to develop your own visual language to tell stories.
We will look at:
creating speed and movement
showing time
use of words and images
character design considerations
Schedule:
Arrive from 9:45am
10am - Session 1
11:30am - Snack Break if required
11:40am - Session 2
1pm - Lunch
1:30pm - Session 3
2:30pm - Finish
NB - this may change with group's needs
All materials provided, however please bring a tablet or iPad if you would like to digitise your work
Suitable for young people ages 8 and above interested in drawing, storytelling, illustration, comics and graphic novels.
