Have you ever created a doodle so powerful, you felt they would benefit from their own panel??? This workshop is for you!!!
Amanda will lead you through each step— from initial character creation to bringing them to life through a four panel comic!!!
Bring any art materials you feel comfortable (or not so much so!) using. Any size paper works— if you bring a notebook, pages that are perforated are the easiest for zine-building. Bring ANY concept of character you’d like to use.
Amanda Semler is an Atlanta based comic book and story board artist. She has been self-publishing comics for over ten years with a BFA in sequential art from SCAD. She often works with mixed media in her pieces, and they always vary in size and form. She wants to use her wide breadth of material knowledge to help others express themselves through visual storytelling. Be sure to check out her independent presses, such as YETI OR NOT and ROACHELLA.
