Common Table: A Community Crowdfunder for Olive Roots

We’re reaching out to our community to help us keep doing the work we love. Please join us at our crowdfunder community day, where we will be hosting a range of activities from poetry workshops to documentary screenings. The day will end with a big raffle, which will go towards funding our upcoming events.

Here at Olive Roots, all of the money that is raised in ticket sales and additional donations for each of our events goes 100% towards the cause we fundraise for. We do this because we care deeply about the organisations and charities we work with and we want every cent to go to Palestine. This means that the costs of venue hire, food ordering, printing and labour comes down to us, and out of our pockets.

We’ve come so much further than what any of us could have imagined at the beginning - a bunch of friends from hospitality backgrounds coming together to try do something other than watch a genocide unfold on our phones.  And because we know that the work of liberating Palestine goes far beyond the recent “ceasefire”, we want to make our work here sustainable for us - so that we can continue to build a community of people working towards a free Palestine here in London.

It wouldn’t be an Olive Roots event without a meal, so we’re working with the amazing chef team over at Back To Ours to make a Palestinian special to serve at their neighbouring cafe that day.
