Commonwealth Writing: Burning Questions by Margaret Atwood (2004-2022)

Course Description:
Join our wonderful tutor, Jackie Pavlenko, for the next session of our Commonwealth Writing series! In this workshop, we will review Birnam Wood from the previous session and then head to Canada and dive into Burning Questions, a compelling collection of essays by celebrated Canadian author Margaret Atwood.
Together, we’ll explore the novel's themes, stories, and ideas using selected extracts.
Afterwards, you’ll have the opportunity to respond through fun, non-intimidating creative writing exercises.
Whether you are an avid reader or an aspiring writer, all experience levels are welcome!
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Jackie is a down-to-earth, friendly, experienced writer and tutor; MA in Screenwriting; writer of the award-winning film El Greco, plus many other film, TV and radio productions; professional script development, editing and polishing; drama commissioning and development, BBC TV; online tutor, teens 11-19 years in English Literature and Creative Writing. In all our writing sessions so far, she has inspired all of her students to let their imaginations fly free!
