• How do I get to the venue?

  Train / Bus

  Train travel discounts are available on GWR services, including £54 return tickets from London. They can be secured here.Please select Bristol and type in a location from which you wish to travel. You will need to have your Communicate ticket confirmation available as proof of conference attendance on the train.

  • You can take First Bus number 8 or 9 to College Green from Bristol Temple Meads station. From College Green walk down the side of Bristol Cathedral and We The Curious will be in front of you.There is not a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue.

  • Park and Ride-The902 Portway service stops next to We The Curious on Anchor Road. The M2 service from the Long Ashton Park and Ride stops on the other side of the harbour at Wapping Wharf, which is about 10 minutes walk away.

  • Train – The closest station is Bristol Temple Meads. From there, We The Curious is a 20 minute walk, a 5 minute taxi ride, a 17 minute ferry ride or a 10 minute bus ride. Visit Trainlineorgwr.com for timetable information.

  • Millennium Square car park is a safe and secure 24hr car park adjacent to We The Curious. Named by the AA as one of the best places in the UK to park your car, it is an underground car park, open 24 hours a day with on site security. Find out more about Millennium Square car park.

  • Please note, We The Curious is within the Bristol Clean Air Zone, so you may incur a fee if you drive. Please visit the We The Curious FAQs, or the Clean Air Zone page for more info.

• Is the venue accessible?

  Accessible parking

  • There are 22 Blue Badge parking spaces underground in Millennium Square car park located across both floors. The car park is fully accessible and there are lifts available to bring you up to ground level. The route from the lifts to the venue entrance is completely flat.

  Level access and lifts

  • There is level access into the venue. The main door opens automatically. The door is double and the width of the door opening is 185cm (6ft 1in).

  • The venue is open plan with lifts between each floor. Every floor has a level surface. There are doors inside the public areas to access the toilets and event spaces.

  • The Reception Area desk / counter is medium height (77cm – 109cm) and does not have a low (76cm or lower) section.

  Accessible toilets

  • Communicate delegates will have exclusive access to the toilets on the second floor of We The Curious, which includes an accessible toilet.

  • Toilets accessible to wheelchair users are available on every floor. You can find out more detailed information about these toilets here.

  • A Changing Places facility is on the ground floor, just inside the entrance to the exhibition space. The Changing Places facility is available to everyone during our opening hours, regardless of whether or not they’re visiting We The Curious. You’ll need a Radar DAR key to access the room, but if you don’t have one, just ask the We The Curious staff at the Welcome Desk who can help you. You’ll also need to bring your own sling.   Hearing

  • There is a fixed loop hearing system in the conference space

  Wheelchair loan

  • Wheelchairs are available to hire from We The Curious on a first-come-first-served basis, please contact the We The Curious team in advance to book one.

  Assistance dogs

  • Assistance dogs are welcome at this venue. A water bowl can be supplied if needed.

  Quiet room

  • There is a quiet room available on Level 1. A member of staff can help you access it. This room has low lighting, weighted blankets, and reduced noise and stimulation.

  • Please note this room is open to all public visitors as well as event guests.

  Multi-faith facilities

  • There is a multifaith room located on level 1 with ablution facilities. A member of staff can help you access it. This is a prayer, contemplation, and reflection space open to all.

  • Please note that this room is also open to the public so it is on a first come, first served basis.
