Event description

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

Your personal communication style can influence how people perceive your business. While many business owners spend time and money developing their business brand, unfortunately they don’t always put the same effort into developing their communications skills. These skills play an important role in building lasting business relationships and also reflect on the image and reputation of your business.

In this session, you will complete a communication audit to explore your current strengths and develop strategies to improve your core skills.

This topic covers:
  • Identifying your key communication skills;
  • How to boost your communication style;
  • Navigating challenging business conversations;
  • Developing an effective elevator pitch for your business;
  • Using authentic persuasion vs coercion and manipulation to achieve results.

    This session is for people whose communication skills are impacting on their ability to attract new clients or building their business and who would like to speak with more clarity when promoting their business or when communicating with clients. Please note: this is a small group session with a highly interactive format. If you are not able to attend please cancel so your limited spot can be made available to another small business owner.

    The facilitator of this topicCindy Kennedy is the founder of Shine Consulting. She is a leadership consultant and performance coach that specialises in leadership presence, impact and influence.
