Community Calm
Description
This is an accessible event for the community where participants will be guided through techniques that support finding safety in the body, grounding and relaxation, nervous system awareness and soothing, and gentle release of built up energy.
The monthly Community Calm event is facilitated by Fi, a trauma-informed Somatic Healing Practitioner, nervous system guide and yoga instructor.

- Is this a yoga class?
No, this is not a yoga class. It is a short 30-40 minute guided relaxation session, exploring sensations in the body, while using somatic tools and techniques to bring the nervous system back regulation.
- Is this session suitable for wheelchair users?
Yes, this session is suitable for all abilities, there is wheelchair access at the venue and all techniques can be taught from a seated and fixed position.
- Do I need to bring anything?
Chairs are available for all participants. There are a limited number of yoga mats and blankets for those wishing to work from the floor. You can bring your own yoga mat, support and blanket if you prefer as well as any other items that help you feel comfortable.
- What if I feel very anxious?
If you drawn to experience a nervous system reset but are very anxious about being in a group setting, please get in contact with Fi. There is an option to arrive early so that you can be guided to a space of your choice with a mini instant reset before the event commences, there is no obligation to stay.
