Terms & Conditions:
The Community Car Tyre Amnesty provides an opportunity for households to dispose of unwanted car tyres in an environmentally responsible manner. To ensure the smooth operation of the event, the following Terms & Conditions apply:
- Eligibility:
- Participation is limited to residents of Clarence.
- Participation is limited to one registration per household.
- Residents must provide proof of residency at the acceptance site via an acceptable form of identification (e.g., driver's license, utility bill, or rates notice).
- Registration details must match the details on the form of identification presented at the acceptance site.
- Tyres will not be accepted without supporting identification.
- Tyre Limits:
- A maximum of 5 tyres per household will be accepted.
- There is no provision for exceeding this limit.
- Accepted Tyre Types:
- Only passenger, 4WD, and light truck tyres will be accepted.
- No other tyre types (e.g., heavy truck, motorcycle, bicycle, agricultural, or industrial tyres) will be accepted.
- Tyre Condition Requirements:
- Tyres must be clean and completely free from dirt, debris, paint and other contaminants.
- Tyres must be removed from rims before disposal.
- Registration Requirement:
- Households must pre-register for tyre disposal.
- Registration details will be checked at the acceptance site.
- No tyres will be accepted without a valid registration.
- Scheduled Drop-off Time:
- Residents must register for a specific time slot for drop-off.
- This measure is in place to support traffic management at the acceptance sites.
- Each time slot has limited capacity, and registrations will be allocated accordingly.
- Waste Restrictions:
- No other waste or materials will be accepted at the event.
- Only tyres meeting these Terms & Conditions will be accepted.
- Strict Adherence to Limits:
- No additional tyres beyond the 5 per household limit will be accepted.
- There is no option to pay for extra tyres on the day.
- Rejection of Tyres:
- Tyres not meeting the stated requirements will be rejected.
- The responsibility for rejected tyres remains with the owner.
- Final Decision Authority:
- Council staff and engaged contractors reserve the right to determine whether tyres meet the acceptance criteria.
- Their decision on acceptance is final.
By registering for the Community Car Tyre Amnesty, residents agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. Failure to adhere to these conditions may result in refusal of service.
