Event description

“How do I talk to my local community about climate change?”

“How do I run an environmentally friendly event?”

“I want to know more about creating a wildlife-friendly community garden.”

If this is you – we want to hear from you!

As part of Staffordshire Green Network, Support Staffordshire and Keele University are running some workshops to find out what training courses or information you would like to see in Staffordshire which would help communities and organisations better support our local environment or become more sustainable. We will then use the feedback from the workshops to create some resources which can be used by local people and voluntary organisations.

When we say 'improving sustainability' and 'acting for the environment', this could include: educating young people about climate change, helping local wildlife, improving travel and transport opportunities, energy efficiency, reducing waste, growing and cooking healthy food, accessing and exploring your local environment, running sustainable events and activities and much more.

We would also like to hear from groups who are not primarily focussed on the environment or sustainability to find out what help you need to think about these issues alongside your groups' main aims.

So come along to tell us: what training or information do you wish existed in Staffordshire that would help you improve the work that you do to make a happier, healthier Staffordshire?

These workshops will be repeated in Tamworth, Staffordshire Moorlands, South Staffordshire and online, feel free to attend the best date and location for you.

This project is run by Support Staffordshire and Keele University as part of the Staffordshire Green Network, funded by the Keele Institute for Social Inclusion.

The Kingswood Trust is served by bus service 891 between Wolverhampton and Telford, stopping on the A41 (a 10 minute walk from the centre). There is a car park on site, we encourage car sharing whre possible. Hot and cold drinks, fruit and biscuits will be available, and you are welcome to engage with the sessions in the way which best suits you, including taking some time out if needed.
