All That and a Bag of Chips: 

Cooking Demo and Botanical Dye Bath with chef/artist Genevieve Erin O’Brien

Join exhibiting artist Genevieve Erin O’Brien in a guacamole-making demo, followed by a botanical dye bath made from the remaining avocado pits and skins. Participants will receive a bag of chips for their guacamole, and a scarf-length summer-weight strip of pre-mordanted soft cotton to dye. Fold, bind and then immerse your fabric into the dye bath and take your “avocado wrap” summer scarf home as a souvenir.  All ages welcome. Please note that fabric requires 30 minutes to an hour in the dye bath.

This program will be held outdoors.
