Community Film Screening: Live the Life You Please
Event description
Join us for two community film screenings of Live the Life You Please.
Come along to this National Advance Care Planning Week event as we host two free community screenings of Live the Life You Please.
This powerful Australian film will make you change the way you think about palliative care and the last chapter of life.
What if we planned for death the way we plan for other major life events?
Live the Life You Please is an impactful film as told by medical professionals, patients and their families. It is an intimate portrait of the end-of-life experience and makes profound observations about life, death and what happens in between.
The film is a treasure trove of incredible and diverse stories captured from all around Australia - from cities, regional centres, and remote communities. It will make you smile, laugh, laugh harder and occasionally shed a tear.
Their powerful stories will show you that palliative care is more than medicine. It’s about quality of life.
Following the film screening, there will be time to ask questions about palliative care, the services available in Tasmania, and how you can document your wishes.
