Join us for our family-friendly Frog Survey!

Join in on the fun at the first of three Community Frog Surveys over November and December, kicking off at the Mooloolah Frog Ponds in Sippy Downs!

It doesn't matter if you don't know much about frogs - this is a great opportunity to learn.

Explore which local frogs live in your area, their habitats and how to ID them through sightings and calls under the supervision of our ecologists.

This is a great event for the whole family to connect with their local environment, learn about local flora and fauna and help us collect data on the diversity and abundance of native frog species on the Sunshine Coast.

Where/When:

Thursday 12th November - Mooloolah Frog Ponds | 6:30pm - 8:00pm

The exact meeting point will be emailed to participants a few days prior to the survey.

What to Wear/Bring:

  • Closed in shoes

  • Water bottle

  • Appropriate clothing for walking by waterways and bushland

  • Insect repellent

Please note that all children must be supervised by an adult (suggested minimum age 7+).

This program is proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council.

FAQs

  • Who is Ecollaboration?

We are a registered environmental charity based in Yandina, with a focus on conservation, education, training and community engagement.

Our purpose is to bring people and nature together through learning, collaboration and action.

We specialise in ecological restoration, bush regeneration and land management services which help restore native flora and fauna populations and maintain healthy waterways. We also offer a range of environmental education services to schools and provide traineeships to help disadvantaged local jobseekers enter the conservation workforce.

All profits made from providing our for-fee services are put back into the community through our impact projects such as this event, our platypus and frog surveys, our River Patrol volunteer team which collects rubbish from the Maroochy River, planting days and our 30+ year old water monitoring program.
