Community Garden Cooking Workshop - Cornwall Park Community Garden
Event description
Kumara Plant-based Cooking – May 10th at Cornwall Park District School
Celebrate the season with us at our Kumara Harvest Workshop, held near the Cornwall Park Community Garden! Together, we’ll harvest kūmara leaves and showcase just how versatile and nourishing this humble plant can be.
This hands-on session explores how small shifts—like embracing a more plant-based diet—can have a big impact on our planet. Learn practical tips for cooking with kūmara leaves, reducing food waste, and eating in a way that’s kinder to the earth.
Whether you're curious about growing your own kai or just want to try something new, this is a great way to connect with your community and eat with the climate in mind.
