Gardening bees in the community garden
Event description
Don’t know how to grow veggies and want to learn? Or want to grow and don’t have the space? Then the UCX Connect Up Community Garden wants you!
Join the Community of Student Gardeners and learn how to grow produce, plant seasonally, and enjoy eating what you grow! All experience levels welcome.
- Gardening Bees every Tuesday 4pm-5pm. We've got all the gardening gear you need - just come ready to get your hands dirty.
- Every second Tuesday - Cooking in the Garden 5pm-6pm. Stay after the gardening bee and enjoy some food (including some produce from our garden!).
We're located near the UC Hub, outside the Student Lounge and UCX Food Pantry next to Building 1 at the UC Campus.
Register below and we'll see you there! You are also more than welcome to just turn up on the day - let one of our friendly connectors know when you arrive and they will show you around. Look out for the Connect Up t-shirts.
Please note that photos may be taken at this event for use on our social media and promotional materials. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know.
Gardening Bees are part of Connect Up 2617, a research initiative run by UC's Health Research Institute (HRI) to strengthen social connection among 18-30 year olds who live, work or study in Belconnen and Bruce.
