Community Gathering – Insights into Action: Solving the homelessness and housing crisis in Byron Shire

Come and be part of a day that will truly harness the power of community!
Help shape the priorities and actions that will help solve homelessness and the housing crisis in Byron Shire!
This free Community Gathering is hosted by the Ending Rough Sleeping Collaboration Byron Shire (ERSCBS), 30 plus members who are working together to ensure everyone in Byron Shire has a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.
Our work is founded on the idea that homelessness can be solved, and local communities hold the answers.
Join us to:
Hear what the community told us through the 1000 Voices Project - where they shared their ideas, hopes and solutions to end local homelessness
Meet our Lived Experience Homelessness Consultants, an amazing group of people who help guide and inform the ERSCBS
Hear from national and local homelessness and housing experts on topics and ideas raised through 1000 Voices
Gain a deeper understanding of homelessness in Byron Shire, based on local housing and homelessness data, as well as the collective work and achievements of the ERSCBS
Together we’ll decide what priorities, actions and strategies will have the most impact for Byron Shire, creating our Shared Agenda and Action Plan for Change!
All are welcome! Community members, People with lived and living experience of homelessness, ERSCBS members, local businesses, academics, government, homelessness and housing experts, homelessness sector colleagues and friends – we need you all!

Where: Function Room, Byron Bay Surf Club 2/10 Bay Street, Byron Bay
When: 11 November 2025
Time: 9:00am arrival for 9:30am start and 4:30pm finish
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided. Please include any dietary requirements when you register.
