Winter in the Woods ❄️Where nature warms the soul

Come together in this collaborative workshop to help create large-scale, luminescent botanical lanterns as communal works of art. Guided by visual artist Tracey Johnson, participants will contribute to a collective making process, exploring creativity through connection and teamwork.
Working as a group, you’ll learn traditional art and design techniques using cane and paper to build beautiful illuminated paper lanterns, whilst celebrating the process of creating together.

This is a collaborative experience, and lanterns will be kept to display at the Arboretum After Dark on 18 and 19 July.  Workshop participants are warmly invited return in the evening and join the artist in displaying these collaborative works to the public, carrying the lanterns around the Events Terrace and showcasing the works produced throughout the day.

Workshop suitable for ages 6 and up. We ask that carers stay to supervise their children.
