Community Open Day at the Marine Discovery Centre
Event description
Join the team at the Marine Discovery Centre for a morning of interactive marine exploration and learning, followed by a guided beach trail at Henley Beach.
During the session, you’ll engage with a variety of discovery stations, including:
- Kaurna cultural learning
- Aquariums showcasing local marine life
- Virtual reality headsets with new footage of the Great Southern Reef
- Hands-on activities with the Marine Discovery Centre team
Event Schedule:
- 10:00am - 11:30am: Interactive Centre Activities
- 11:30am - 12:00pm: Guided Beach Marine Trail (weather permitting)

- The Kaurna Meyunna Education Room, highlighting the connection between the Kaurna people and the Adelaide Plains and coastline.
- Interactive displays and games, including oceanography, sustainable fishing, marine habitats, and much more.

Cost:
$10 per person (Children 3 and under attend for free)
