National Tree Day Community Planting Day

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for the south west of WA, including the Perth metro area.

The safety of our community and amazing volunteers is always the first priority, so unfortunately this event has been cancelled.

Join us to celebrate National Tree Day with a community planting day at Garvey Park

Meet and work alongside our passionate Environment team to plant native tube in priority areas of the park. It's a great way to get involved in local environmental restoration while enjoying a morning outdoors.

The session includes a short safety briefing and planting demonstration before we get hands-on in the soil.

Whether you're a seasoned green thumb or just keen to help, this is a fun and rewarding activity for all ages.

What’s provided:

• All tools and materials

• Planting guidance from the City’s Environment team

• A meaningful way to support your local environment

Important information:

• Parking will be made available off Fauntleroy Avenue. Follow signage to the planting location south of the Garvey Park playground and cafe area.

• Children under the age of 16 years will need to be supervised by a parent/guardian
