Getting there
The event registration tent will be located south of the rugby field and sports club complex - see pink area marked on map. Please arrive early to get registered before the event begins at 10am.
By Train
The event site (Bon Thomas Reserve, 57A Quinn St) is only 800m walk from Deer Park train station - from the train station walk west along Railway Parade, then Railway Parade S all the way to the end of the road until you reach the reserve.
By car
If you are needing to drive, please carpool as much as possible and check the map for parking options. There is some free parking available at Bon Thomas Reserve (Off Adeline Ct), however the carpark is likely to be very busy as there is the regular Saturday rugby also taking place on the same day. We strongly recommend parking in the side streets outlined in blue on the map - it is only a short walk to the event from here and there are several pedestrian access points. Please don't block any bus routes or driveways. The best streets to park on are:
Railway Parade S
Poole St
Edward St
Wakool Ave
Vincent St
Bayliss Rd
There is a couple of disabled parking spots in the main carpark near the sportsground however we are unable to reserve these for our event as they are for the public. There is a drop-off zone in the carpark.
Accessibility: The event is about a 250m walk from the carpark along a walking path. The planting is taking place near the path and we will have seats and shade available to rest. There is accessible toilets at the sporting grounds.
This event is supported through an Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Restorative Project Order.
