Community Resilience Network – Workshop 1 – The Social Impacts of Drought
Event description
Building resilient communities ahead of a predicted increase in drought events.
This online workshop will be hosted at six locations across the South West (see below) and will feature:
- A presentation on the Social Impacts of Drought by Dr Leanne Lester from UWA.
- Group discussion to identify actions to build community resilience to drought or other impacts.
- Sharing ideas between groups.
The workshop will be held at Community Resource Centres (CRCs) in: Boyup Brook, Bridgetown, Donnybrook, Harvey, Brunswick Junction and Manjimup. Attendance at these locations is preferred, but if not possible, a meeting link will be sent.
It is the first in a planned series of six workshops for 2024, designed to create a Community Resilience Network - One of five "Surviving the Dry" projects in the South West.
