Community Solutions Workshops - Parramatta
Event description
Have you ever felt there's a better way to manage consumption and the greenhouse emissions in our area?
What if there was a way we could also strengthen our social connections while we did it?
Are you looking for ways to upskill and tap into the skillsets of your community?
Have you wondered what it might take to solve some of our community’s biggest challenges by sharing your good?
...
This is the kickstart you need to get yourself empowered to change the way we live, share and connect
The event is a 3 part hands-on workshop which you can tackle from the comfort of your home or community!
Session 1: Exploring the issues in your hood by rethinking waste, reducing emissions and inspiring connections (for good!)
Session 2: Design Thinking for the Planet, how might we tackle some of the challenges we see in our community. We'll teach you how to unlock the solutions to our community’s biggest challenges one step at a time.
Session 3: The Art of Storytelling, How Might We Create a healthier and more resilient Hood by sharing your 'good'. We'll show you how to share your impact and invite others to get involved.
Join our free, interactive workshops with co-founder of Good for the Hood, Jo Taranto. Jo has worked with ABC's War on Waste and Fight for Planet A: Our Climate Challenge and has seen communities all over Australia taking action to make cleaner, kinder and more sustainable choices.
These workshops are interactive and will ask for your participation for the best outcomes, so we would love to see your face, hear your voice or at the very least, see what you type in the comments. A pre course survey and the link to join will be sent closer to the event.
By participating in all three sessions you'll also be eligible for a 30 minute free to help supercharge your progress towards community change.
This event is an initiative of Parramatta Council who are proudly working with the community to harness the good and create sustainable change.
