Do you have an interest and talent for street art!
Come along and learn the complete process in creating a Street Art Project, in conjunction with CCC Graffiti Team and ChristchurchNZ.
This 8-week project will involve researching, planning and designing a collaborative chorus box and wall mural in New Brighton and being mentored by local graffiti street artists.
Ages: 12-18 years
Cost: $5.85, includes booking fee
Important information:
1. Special Consent/Permission Form required - *Parents/Guardians are required to complete a second special consent/permission form for this programme. This consent form will be emailed closer to the programme start date. The form will cover permission for the child to attend offsite locations in the community and health and safety requirements. *17 years and under.
2. Programme runs for 8 weeks (possibly 9). Please make sure you can attend each week.
3. Weeks 2 & 3, participants will be split into 2 groups (staff will allocate groups), please make sure you are able to attend the later finish time of 6:30pm on either of these weeks. Parents will need to pick up from the Contact chorus box location (to be advised).
4. Participants are required to bring one white / light garment for Direct to Garment printing.

Week 1 - Thursday 22 February, 3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library - All participants
**Week 2 - Thursday 29 February,
3:45pm to 6:30pm - Painting cabinet (Offsite) - Group 1
3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library - Group 2
**Week 3 - Thursday 07 March,
3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library - Group 1
3:45pm to 6:30pm - Painting cabinet (Offsite) - Group 2
**Please note that if you are in the group finishing at 6.30 pm the parent pick up will be from the Contact chorus box location as the library will be closed.
Week 4 - Thursday 14 March, 3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library - All participants
Week 5 - Thursday 21 March, 3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library - All participants
Week 6 - Thursday 28 March, 3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library - All participants
Week 7 - Thursday 04 April, 3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library, mural painting (Offsite) - All participants
Week 8 - Thursday 11 April, 3:45pm to 5pm - New Brighton Library, mural painting (Offsite) - All participants
Week 9 - TBC! if required - We may require a day in the school holidays/easter to finish the wall mural. Participants will be notified.
