Community Support Associate Training
Training Description
The Kentucky Community Support Associate (CSA) Training is a state-approved, 10-hour training program designed to prepare individuals to provide Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCS) to adults and youth with mental health disorders and co-occurring conditions.
The training equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to help individuals build independence, improve daily functioning, manage symptoms, and successfully access community resources and supports.

Community Support Associate (10 Hours) - Tuesday and Wednesday
The Community Support Associate (CSA) Training fulfills Kentucky's certification requirements under 908 KAR 2:250 and is designed for individuals with a high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience providing services to individuals with mental health needs. The training covers recovery-oriented and resilience-based practices, psychiatric rehabilitation, effective communication and engagement skills, mental health and co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, emotional regulation and skills training, and community resource coordination to support individuals in achieving greater independence and recovery. Day 1: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Day 2: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
