Flinders Community Swap Market - Flinders Sustainability Week 2025

Give your pre-loved clothes, accessories and books a second life by swapping them at the student and staff community swap meet. It’s a great way to declutter, discover unique treasures, and connect with others while saving money and reducing waste. Free snacks, soft-serve ice cream, drinks and entertainment will be provided, and you can also win fantastic eco prizes.

📍 Location: Welcome Hub, Level 1, City Campus

✅ Open to: All students and staff 

✔️ What to Bring 

We encourage you to bring used items that are clean, functional, and something you would feel comfortable giving to a friend. Please limit your contributions to a maximum of 5 items per person. 

Accepted Items: 

• Clothing (washed and in good condition)

• Shoes  

• Books 

• Accessories (e.g., bags, belts, scarves, hats) 

❌ What Not to Bring 

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please do not bring: 

• Damaged, broken, or dirty items 

• Underwear or swimwear 

• Food or perishable goods 

• Electronics or large appliances 

• Items with missing parts or safety concerns 

🔄 How It Works 

• Donate in advance (more information here) , bring items to swap on the day, or simply come along on the day to grab an item…all are welcome!

💡 Tips for a Great Swap 

• Bring a reusable bag to carry your finds. 

• Label your items if they have special features (e.g., “organic cotton,” “handmade”). 

• Be respectful—take only what you need so everyone gets a chance to find something.

By donating items or attending the market, you’ll go into the draw to win a fabulous eco-friendly hamper. Simply scan the QR code provided at the donation point or on the day.
