Community Talk and AGM

Join Friends of Sassafras Creek and Kaori Yokochi to hear about the impacts of light pollution on wildlife and what we can to do help.

Kaori is a Wildlife Ecologist at Deakin University, and her research focuses on finding ways for humans and wildlife to not just co-exist, but thrive together. She investigates how humans, infrastructure and pollutants (e.g. light pollution, rodenticides) impact wildlife, and finding ways to reduce these impacts.

Kaori will outline the impacts of light pollution on wildlife, with a focus on recent research on impacts of light pollution on insectivorous bats.

The talk will be followed by Friends of Sassafras Creek’s Annual General Meeting.
