Community Tree Planting Day - Witta
Event description
Join Hinterland Bush Links for a community tree planting day in Witta on Sunday, 28th September, as we help local landholders begin their restoration journey. The property was historically cleared for grazing, and we’ll be planting hundreds of native trees to support the return of habitat for koalas, birds, and insects unique to the area.
It’s a great way to get involved in local conservation efforts, enjoy the outdoors, and make a lasting impact on the landscape. Everyone is welcome—no experience necessary & all ages are welcome– just bring a willingness to get your hands dirty! All tools will be provided, as well as a tasty morning tea with friends.
The location of the planting will be emailed to guests upon registration, please meet at 8.30am to start on site. Long-sleeved shirt, trousers, closed-in shoes and hat are essential (Work Place Health and Safety Regulations). Please do not attend if you have any cold or flu symptoms.
