Community WasteWise End of Year Celebration 2026

Kia ora koutou,

Auckland Council Waste Solutions and LEAD warmly invite you to the Community WasteWise End of Year Celebration.

This year, community partners across Tāmaki Makaurau kept tonnes of material out of landfill, and supported thousands of Aucklanders to live with less waste. Much of that work happens quietly and on tight budgets. Before the year ends, we want to pause and celebrate it together.

This is a relaxed, social event for the people behind the Community WasteWise programme: staff, volunteers, board members and Council partners. There will be no workshops and no agenda to work through. Come to share some kai, swap stories, and join in on some unforgettable activities and reconnect with the others doing similar work. More information on the event to follow.

Cost: Free. Registration is essential for catering and numbers.

Who is this for

Anyone involved in a Community WasteWise partner organisation is welcome, including paid staff, volunteers and committee or board members. Each organisation can register up to two people. If you would like to bring more, email us and we will do our best to fit you in.

Registration

The event is free, and registering helps us cater well and avoid food waste. Please register by November 14.
