Fri, 16 May, 9am - 4:30pm AEST

Event description

This workshop will explore how a positive process for community engagement can add reciprocal value to project and community outcomes. We recognise the inclusion of sustainable procurement, and diverse workforces can be challenging. This workshop will help to explore lessons learnt from Australian and global best practice, to support the delivery of social, local and sustainable solutions that benefit societal outcomes.

The Victorian case studies that will be presented for consideration are:

  • Waste: options for gaining value from waste and diverting it from landfill, including Waste to Energy options
  • Energy: wind farms, solar farms and hydrogen options that can drive the energy transformation
  • Warrnambool Hospital Redevelopment: investing social, sustainable and local procurement in built infrastructure that changes the legacy outcomes for communities.
