Join us on Autistic Pride Day, Sunday June 18th, for a panel discussion on the topic of Autistic culture and pride. This panel will feature 4 Autistic adults with a range of intersectional identities and life experiences exploring the concepts of Autistic culture and pride, both as individuals and as the Autistic community, and why Autistic pride is important, exciting, complex and many other things all at once.

Themes discussed in this session will likely include:

  • why Autistic pride is important
  • how views and perceptions of Autism have changed over time
  • the intersections between Autistic pride with other pride movements
  • navigating and respecting the complexities of community and culture
  • the links between pride and advocacy including our shared responsibility to learn from and amplify the perspectives and needs of more marginalised members our community
  • the ongoing journey of rediscovering and accepting our whole selves

There will also be the opportunity for audience questions at the end of the session.
