Description

Community Workshops: Keeping People Safe and Informed in the NDIS

NEDA, in partnership with the NDIA, is inviting people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, as well as their family members and carers, to participate in a community workshop exploring the following topics.

We want to hear your views, experiences and perspectives, and provide an opportunity for you to learn, ask questions and share feedback.

Topic 1: Protecting Yourself from Fraud and Scams in the NDIS

  • Understanding fraud, scams and other inappropriate behaviour in the NDIS.

  • Learning how to protect yourself and your NDIS supports.

  • Understanding how to report concerns and seek support.

  • Sharing your views about how communities can be better informed and protected.

You do not need to have experienced fraud or scams to participate.

Topic 2: NDIS new way of planning – Testing Opportunity

  • Learn what the proposed planning process may look like for NDIS participants.

  • Understand how support needs may be discussed and assessed as part of future planning conversations.

  • Ask questions and share your thoughts about the proposed approach.

  • Register your interest in participating in future testing of the proposed planning approach.

Who Can Participate?

To participate, you must be:
