Community Workshop: Neuroinclusive Workplaces, an employees guide

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Reframing Autism invites you to join Tammie Sinclair and Jasmine Deakin from Sunny Spectrum Supports in exploring neuroinclusive workplaces. With practical tips to foster neuroinclusion and protect Autistic wellbeing, this workshop will touch on employer and employee rights and responsibilities and the co-creation of an inclusive workplace!

This session will include actionable tips for the employee, covering things you can advocate for in the workplace, including bigger system improvements and what the employee can do for themselves right now.

Jasmine is an accomplished Lead Social Worker and Co-Founder of Sunny Spectrum Supports who has a background employment, support coordination and counselling for neurodivergent individuals. Through her expert guidance and holistic insights, she empowers her clients to gain a deeper understanding of their unique neurological differences, paving the way for better outcomes.

Tammie is a dynamic business owner, elected local government Councillor, and self-published children's author. She brings a wealth of experience in management to all her endeavors and is passionate about fostering inclusivity and accessibility for her fellow autistic community members.

Jasmine and Tammie demonstrate authenticity in their professional approach, upholding a deep respect for the diversity of communication styles among their colleagues and clients. They share a strong commitment to breaking down barriers for autistic individuals navigating a neurotypical workplace and this is reflected in their leadership of their (mostly) neurodivergent team. Drawing from their own parallel journeys, lived-and-work-experiences, they have developed practical, holistic and research informed approaches to accessible employment.
