Community Workshop: Nurturing Parent-Child Relationships
Event description
Would you like to nurture a stronger relationship with your Autistic child?
Presented by Reframing Autism's Learning Coordinator, Linda Hollenberg, this workshop will explore some of the ways fulfilling and authentic relationships may look for Autistic children and how connection and belonging can be nurtured within neurodiverse families.
Linda will cover topics including acceptance, communication, co-regulation, trust, safety, connection, belonging, play, family culture and collaboration. She will share some practical strategies for nurturing your relationship with your Autistic child and offer a fresh look at what a neuroaffirming family life could look and feel like.
While the focus will be on children aged up to 12 years old, many of these approaches will be relevant well into the teen years.
As well as being Reframing Autism’s Learning Coordinator, Linda is a doula, yoga teacher, peaceful parenting educator, and an Autistic mother to an Autistic child.
