    Event description

    Learn about voice acting from Wendy Bos, a queer artist with over 20 years of experience recording audiobooks, radio and television voiceovers.

    You will learn vocal techniques to explore the different tones, sounds and depths your voice can make, and discover how these changes may impact your listening audience. Learn to mark up a script and practice voiceovers in a fun and relaxed environment.

    All experience levels are welcome, ages 18 and over - suitable for anyone wanting to learn about voice acting or improve their confidence in using their voice.

    FREE to attend for anyone aged 18 years and over.

    Wendy Bos (she/her) is thrilled to have returned to her home state after over a decade working in Melbourne in television, film, theatre as well as establishing herself as a major voice over artist.

    Wendy has narrated over 25 audiobooks, including titles by authors Emily Rodda, Michelle de Krester, Kerry Greenwood and Maria V Snyder, the anthology Growing Up Queer in Australia, edited by Benjamin Law, and voicing the queer hero ‘Jane Doe’ in Jeremy Lachlan’s award winning fantasy books, the Jane Doe Chronicles. As a voice-over artist, she has worked extensively in radio and television, including narrating The Super Switch (Channel 7) and commercials for Medibank, Holden, The Australian Government, Westpac and more.

    Wendy’s television credits include McLeods Daughters, Hawke, Neighbours, the acclaimed Wizards of Aus, and on film, The Wedding Party. Theatre credits include Floogle’s Ollie and the Minotaur, Raton Laveur (Fairly Lucid), Still Point Of A Turning World and Meet Me At Dawn.
