Event description
Are you interested in learning how to make your own compost or setting up a worm farm? Join us for a hands-on, information-packed workshop with permaculture pro Lachlan McKenzie hosted at Marino Community Garden on Saturday 21 September from 1-4pm. We'll be exploring a variety of compost methods including:
- cold composting demonstrations using bins and making a liquid compost (compost tea)
- building a complete hot compost from scratch
- worm farms - see how to make the most of your waste and turn it into rich, organic fertiliser
This workshop is led by Lachlan McKenzie of Permaculture SA and Permatil Global, who brings 30 years of permaculture and organic gardening knowledge from a range of cultures, climates and contexts. There will be an opportunity to ask questions as well as a short break with light refreshments and snacks provided by the Marino Community Garden. Please BYO gloves, hat and sunscreen.
Level up your gardening knowledge, take a tour of the Marino Community Garden and get to know other green thumbs of various shades!
