Composting with master composter, Tim Marshall

Compost is garden gold and composting is an essential skill for all gardeners. Learn how to become an expert composter with compost master, Tim Marshall, organic gardener and acclaimed author of many books, including Composting and The New Organic Gardener.

This class will cover the benefits of compost, different types of compost systems, making compost, using compost, vermiculture (worms) and trouble shooting. Tim will also discuss the benefits of various ingredients, open heaps and enclosed methods (bin system), and discuss composting difficult materials (especially weeds).

This class is for everyone who wants to improve their garden and increase their yields in the garden.

This event also includes morning tea with our yummy Sophie’s Patch cakes.
