    What We'll Do

6.30 pm - Learn - Growing for Year Round Harvests

    Presented by David Weekes, Growerly

David will share his knowledge and tips to help us plan and grow an edible garden that produces a harvest all year long.

    We'll learn about:

    • Seasonality - Why the 4 seasons model doesn’t work so well for us in South East QLD, and what we can do instead
    • Looking to the wild - How the origins of our veggies, herbs and flowers can help us determine how to grow them today
    • Growing from seed - The 3 most important blockers to seed germination and how to nurture your seeds to sprout
    • Cold season extension - Stop frost from killing your tender plants
    • Hot season adaptations - Gardening methods to help with the heat
    • Observe and learn - How you can track along with your garden to discover your own dynamic microclimate and grow year round

    A few words from David

As a crazy little family, we have always embarked on the mission of growing our own food. From filling our balcony with hanging pots full of veggies and flowers to running a 1 and 1/4 acre market garden selling produce into Toowoomba. So now at Growerly, we want to share the best ecological knowledge, gardening knowledge and regenerative knowledge with you so that you can find peace, connection and beauty in your garden. We'd be stoked if our knowledge could help you.

    Growerly

In our busy world, it’s tough to find the time to get out there and get your garden growing.  So David at Growerly wants to make it as easy as possible. Similar to your dinner box services like HelloFresh or EveryPlate, they package up all the basics you need to grow abundant organic veggies and deliver it to your doorstep.

    Growerly boxes include all the:

    • Plants
    • Seeds
    • Liquid nourishment
    • Soil food

You need to start your garden and step-by-step guides to take you from garden prep through to harvesting your veggies.
