Description

Join Estelle from Subtle Strength and Stephen from Sound Mind Medicine for a three and a half hour immersive experience of nervous system regulation and somatic practices, in the sanctuary of Ninaya Farm’s Gallery Space.

Limited mats available for a safe and grounded experience.

With sunlight seeping through the windows as spring emerges, you’ll be guided through dynamic and meditative movement, unwinding and hydrating your fascia, mobilizing you whole physical being. Transitioning slowly to stillness, you’ll be guided to explore the movement of your breath, a more subtle part of your being. A fully guided breathflow experience, inviting rhythmic breaths, slow breaths, deep breaths, and pauses, providing space for interoception; before settling into a grounded rest, where you can allow yourself to be soothed and bathed by the sounds of gongs, singing bowls, and chimes.

These are healing and liberating practices that have been used for centuries, and now it’s your turn to experience them!

Gift yourself this time to experience, feel, heal, and connect... leave feeling lighter and more spacious as you step into Spring.

Please note: this session is not suitable for those in the first trimester of pregnancy, or those with sound induced epilepsy

Please reach out to Estelle via email (contact.subtlestrength@gmail.com) for any further details

FAQs

  • What is fascia?

Fascia is a complex web of collagen protein fibres, that is connected to every structure in your body, and creates a sensory organ!

It receives signals from and sends signals to both the physical and emotional bodies. It runs superficially, deep, and viscerally, and is sometimes known as the memory of the body.

Movement patterns, chronic stress, holding tension, injury, and diet can all influence fascial mobility and hydration; creating either restricted or free movement and energy flow.

  • What is breathwork?

Breathwork is awareness to, and choosing to take control of, your inhale, exhales, and the pauses in between.

It offers a deep connection to your body and your nervous system, and can create feelings of calm

  • What is sound healing?

It is an ancient practice that has been used to increase wellness for centuries. Sound creates vibrations that can affect and slow down our brain waves, resonate with internal vibrational frequencies within our own body and put us in a general state of calm. It is at these slower brain waves (alpha, theta and delta waves) where our brain enters a relaxed, meditative state and real transformation can occur.

A variety of instruments can be used during a sound healing session or meditation sound bath. I tend to favour gongs as they are incredibly powerful and grounding, but I also use crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, a crystal harp and a shruti box
