Connect the Dots

You are invited to a free morning of music, drumming and games to celebrate the launch of the Connect the Dots Project! Get your rhythm on and join the singing, drumming and dancing to a host of local performers, play giant Jenga and Pick-up-Sticks and relax afterward with a sausage sizzle!

Bring the kids and the grandkids on Saturday 26 September at Kelly Reserve, starting at 10.00 am. We want as many people as possible to participate in this event and share the experience of ‘collective effervescence’ – the feeling of joy of in being together while doing something fun and wonderful.

Some of the performers include Gracey Denham-Jones, the Fijiian Singers, and drummers Rob Shannon and Kitty Stitt.

The project is funded by a NSW Government Social Cohesion Grant with the aim of making it easier for everyone in our community to connect and find a place where they belong. The red dots will provide an easy way to contribute, and will also signify great places to gather, share and have fun.

We have been working hard to re-populate the Community Directory on the PSC website, which lists community and volunteer organisations across the Shire. The red dots installed around Parkes, Peak Hill, Trundle, Tullamore and Bogan Gate are accompanied by a QR code linking to the directory.
