    Ready to connect with your well-being? Join us for Connect to Wellness Day!

    On 26 October, it's all about YOU! Take a break from your routine and embrace self-care like never before.

    Try something new! Whether it's a Tai Chi or an art therapy workshop, today is the day to experiment and find what resonates with you.

    Dive into the world of art therapy and discover stress management techniques that work for you.

    This day is all about recharging your mind, body and soul. Because YOU deserve it!

    🗓Workshop line up:

    10.00am - 10.45am: Tai Chi - UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre [STUDENTS & STAFF]

    Location: Room 2008, Level 2, Quadrangle Building (may be outdoors)

    Try Tai Chi – an ancient Chinese form of martial arts. Tai Chi is often described as "meditation in motion." This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance. No prior experience is required!

    What to wear:

    • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows unrestricted movement.
    • Joggers or flat enclosed shoes.
    • If outdoors, hat and sunscreen is recommended.

    What to bring: A bottle of water

    11.15am - 12.00pm: Stretching and Mobility – UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre [STUDENTS & STAFF]

    Location: Room 2008, Level 2, Quadrangle Building.

    Join our Mobility & Stretching class to unlock a healthier, more active lifestyle. 🤾‍♀️ Whether you're a beginner or advanced, our program offers tailored exercises for all levels, focusing on injury risk reduction, enhanced flexibility, and improved range of motion. Gain holistic wellness and injury prevention insights as you transform your well-being. ☀️

    What to wear:

    • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows unrestricted movement.
    • Joggers or flat enclosed shoes.

    What to bring: A bottle of water


    1.00pm - 1.45pm: Stress Management Workshop - Kate Thomson (UNSW Accommodation) & Cyndi Bremer (UNSW Psychology & Wellness) [STUDENTS ONLY]

    Location: Room 2008, Level 2, Quadrangle Building. 

    This practical stress management workshop will help you understand and manage your stress. You will be supported to mindfully create your own self-soothe pack, which you will take away to use whenever you need. 

    Attendees will receive free wellness resources. 


    2.15pm - 3.15pm: Art Therapy Workshop - Sarah Kroon & Renee Griffin (UNSW Psychology & Wellness) [STUDENTS ONLY]

    Location: Room 2008, Level 2, Quadrangle Building.

    Discover a creative journey of self-expression and growth with our Tree of Life Art Therapy Group. Through art, we will explore the intricate branches of your personal experiences, aspirations, and emotions, fostering a deeper understanding of your own unique journey. 🧑‍🎨 Guided by the Psychology and Wellness team, this supportive and inclusive group provides a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings using art as a powerful tool. The tree, a symbol of strength, growth, and interconnectedness, will serve as our canvas to visually represent the various facets of your life. 🌳

    Registrations close midday 25th October 2023.
