Genex Power has appointed PCL Construction as its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for Stage 1 of the Bulli Creek Solar Project. PCL Construction is a globally reputable EPC contractor in the large-scale solar industry, having installed a total of 3,044MW globally and 474MW in Australia, with another 631MW capacity currently in construction in Australia. To date, the company has completed nearly 60 solar projects, supplying enough clean energy to power more than half a million homes and businesses across North America and Australia. Operations Lead, Project Management at PCL Construction Landon Douglas will deliver the scope, timelines, procurement, and available work packages including Q&A at the online Connecting Industry Update. All attendees will receive the PDF presentation and a recording of the Connecting industry Update approximately 48hrs after the event.

The Bulli Creek Energy Park (Energy Park) is a multi-stage development project of up to 2GW of large-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Genex Power’s strategy is develop the Bulli Creek Stage 1 Solar Project (BCS-1) as stage 1 of the Energy Park. BCS-1, once operational will have a generation capacity of up to 775MWac and is expected to commence construction in early 2025. BCS-1 is set to become the largest grid-connected solar farm in Australia once in operation. Subsequent to the BCS-1, the second proposed stage within the Energy Park is the Bulli Creek Stage 2 Battery (BCB-2), currently sized for up to 400MW/1,600MWh (4-hour storage). Subsequent stages of solar and/or BESS are proposed to maximise the full 2GW capacity of the Energy Park. The Energy Park is located approximately 45km south-west of the Millmerran township, in Queensland.
