Connecting Physical & Mental Health

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Our physical and mental health are intrinsically linked, and Australians living with mental health conditions have a reduced life expectancy of around 10 years. This means that, when working with people to help them recover from mental health challenges, we must also consider physical health impacts.

This one-day training course will equip you with vital strategies to improve the physical health of people you support.

You will explore key risks to health and learn effective ways to share this information with people with lived experience of mental health challenges.

When: 9am to 4.30pm on 18 August

Where: Griffin Centre, 20 Genge St, Canberra

Cost: $150 (members) or $300 (non-members).

Registrations will close at 5pm on 17 August.

Note: no catering will be provided, but there are ample cafes and restaurants nearby.

If you would like more information about this training, please contact admin@mhccact.org.au.
