Connecting to Country Walk with Uncle Ian Hunter @ Shepherd Bush
Event description
Join us for a special Connecting to Country event by Wurundjeri Elder, Uncle Ian Hunter. Come along for a cultural bushwalk and talk in recognition of National Threatened Species Day.
Explore the beautiful natural landscape of Shepherd Bush, while learning about its unique flora and fauna. During the walk, you’ll also discover a critically endangered tree species native to Monash and learn about the efforts underway to restore and protect it.
Please note: The walking trail will be approximately 1.5 kilometers long and includes sections that may be narrow, uneven, or have limited passing space. We recommend attendees wear appropriate footwear and consider any mobility needs.
If you have any accessibility requirements or concerns, please contact sustainability@monash.vic.gov.au in advance so we can support your participation wherever possible.
Meeting at: Entrance to Shepherd Bush Community Garden, end of Shepherd Rd, Glen Waverley.
