Event description

Come and learn about Western Australia’s strategic response to food relief and join us to address the challenge of food insecurity.

This is the second part of a two part series on the collaborative approach we have taken – business, government, universities and not-for-profits – to develop the WA Food Relief Framework.

The webinar will describe how the Food Stress Index was used to assist with food relief prioritisation during COVID-19.

We will show in detail how the tool can be used to quantify the types and amounts of food for food relief and disaster management, and share some of the lessons learned to ensure of that safe and nutritious food is available for people who need it.

This webinar is jointly hosted by WACOSS and the Public Health Advocacy Institute WA, Curtin University and Department of Health.

Speakers include: A/Professor Christina Pollard and PhD candidate Tim Landrigan
