Connecting with BPD
Description
This free Mental Health Month & BPD Awareness Week workshop by e2 Services is for people experiencing BPD or other mental ill health & distress.
The themes this year are Find Your Way to Wellbeing & Connection Changes Outcomes. This workshop celebrates these themes by building confidence and knowledge of BPD and mental ill health, challenging stigma, and highlighting the importance of connection with others in recovery.
Connecting with BPD is created by Emma, a lived experience educator who has developed & facilitated mental health workshops for 6+ years for community members, carers, mental health clinicians and disability support workers.
Information will include some of the neurobiology of mental illness, the diagnostic criteria of Borderline Personality Disorder, skills and techniques to manage distress and what recovery means from a Lived Experience perspective. There will be refreshments, a creative activity and a sensory kit to take home.
