Join us for Cultural Connection on Country with Aunty Christine

Reunion & regen room are really excited to invite you onto the magical Shambhala Farm for Aunty Christine to teach us about First Nations & Gubbi Gubbi culture.
We welcome you for a day of knowledge sharing, cultural connection and healing sounds.
The day will include:
- Welcome Ceremony by Aunty Christine
- Gubbi Gubbi Cultural Artefacts & Language
- Local Stories & Knowledge
- Locally Sourced Lunch
- Didgeridoo Sound shared by Chris Wilkinson
You will walk away with a stronger understanding of traditional first nations culture and information about Gubbi Gubbi language and history. Lunch & tea will be provided. The Didgeridoo session will be after lunch.

About Aunty Christine
Aunty Christine is the business owner of Bulu Yabun and is the secretary of Gubbi Gubbi Dyungungoo group inc.
She is a regular visitor to Moreton Bay schools and kindergartens as a cultural educator where she hopes to teach
about indigenous culture through her children's books.
About Gubbi Gubbi Dyungungoo
Wunya Ngulum (Welcome Everyone)
Gubbi Gubbi Dyungungoo Group Incorporated is a non-profit organisation covering the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast,
Noosa and Gympie region where we are preserving the land with its fauna and flora for future generations.
The Gubbi Gubbi people are the traditional custodians of the land located in South East Queensland, within the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast, Noosa & Gympie region.
The traditional lands of the Gubbi Gubbi people stretched from the northern banks of the North Pine River in the south; to Burrum River in the north near Maryborough and to the Conondale Ranges in the west. Their traditional lands include Redcliffe, Bribie Island, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Maryborough, Gympie, Caboolture & Petrie.
The Gubbi Gubbi people are the traditional owners of the land whose traditional lands include beaches, lakes, rivers,
creeks, mountains, and rainforests.
What does “Gubbi Gubbi Dyungungoo” mean?
‘Gubbi’ means ‘no’ in the Gubbi Gubbi language.
‘Dyungungoo’ means ‘Territory’ in the Gubbi Gubbi language.
No dogs or pets will be allowed on site. We also ask that you take any rubbish you bring back home with you.
Tickets are limited as this is designed to be a COVID safe event.
*Unfortunately, we are unable to refund or transfer any tickets that have been purchased due to relying on numbers and cost to make these events sustainable. However, if we need to cancel the event because of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances such as changes in COVID restrictions we will refund all paid tickets (after the booking fee).
