Come together for a joyful, colourful community gathering where everyone is welcome to connect, create, and celebrate!

Experience the spirit of Connective, a community program that brings people together through art, culture, and nature to nurture connection and belonging. Listen to stories, celebrating the creations and connections we've made, exploring what we can all continue to create as a community.

Together, we'll nourish each other with a shared feast of food, fashion, dance, storytelling, and creative explorations as we celebrate our diverse cultures.

Share your roots and express who you are!

• Dress to express your heritage: Wear something that celebrates your cultural roots, heritage, identity, or personal creativity.

• Bring a traditional platter to share: A dish, snack, or treat that reflects your traditions, memories, or something meaningful to you.

• Share your story: If you feel inspired, share a story, song, dance, or other creative expression.

• Connect and create: Meet new people, explore your creativity, and enjoy the experience of coming together!

These are all optional -- your presence is what matters!

About Connective

This event is part of the Connective Program, a volunteer-led community initiative funded by the Northern Beaches Council Arts and Culture Grant.

Connective aims to foster flourishing through deeper connections with ourselves, one another, and the places we share. Through co-creative arts, cultural experiences, and immersion in nature, we nurture a sense of community, creativity, and belonging.

A few things to know

Participation: The event includes opportunities for audience participation, which are entirely optional.
If you would like perform a dance, music, poetry slam, or any showcase (2-5 minutes), please submit this form ASAP. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis with a balance of modalities.

Photography and filming: Photos and videos will be taken during the event to document and share the Connective journey. Please indicate on the day at registration whether you do not want otherwise.
